The National flag carrier PIA said that all airlines which operate domestic flights will be charging equal fares.
PIA’s spokesperson while talking about the speculation over the increased fare charges of domestic flights said that the one-way ticket for Lahore or Islamabad flight from Karachi would cost Rs.22, 826 now which include all taxes in it.
One way ticket for Peshawar-bound flight from Karachi would cost Rs.22, 108 including tax.
The ticket fare for Quetta from Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi would cost up to 14, 448, tax included, told the spokesperson of PIA.
All airlines have decided to charge an equal amount of fares from the passengers after consulting the government, said the PIA spokesperson. The reason for detailing tickets’ fares for domestic flights aimed to guarantee to avoid overcharging.
The tickets can be booked from the PIA’s office or through their website.
Earlier today, the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) finalized all arrangements for the resumption of the domestic flights in Pakistan from Saturday.
As a preventive measure, awareness banners have been put encouraging social distancing at the domestic lounge of the Karachi International Airport. The banners ensure to keep at least a 2-meter distance between every passenger.
Passengers entering the airport are supposed to wear masks as it has been made obligatory. The Airport Security Force (ASF) are issued with proper guidelines to ensure social distancing at the airport to avoid the spread of the virus.
