AKU Introduces Free Child Health Helpline


Earlier today, the Agha Khan University Hospital Karachi introduced a free-of-cost helpline service called Child Connect for all the parents which can help them connect with the child specialists directly on call.

In case any parent needs to take medical advice for their children, they can call the helpline service and directly talk to the Paediatrician. According to the child’s medical history, the doctor will then give a diagnosis and suggest the next step the parents should take.

Child Connect will also provide the child’s treatment plan if there is any and also it will provide all necessary prescriptions along with the appointments and emergency care.

The number provided for the helpline service is 021-111-911-911. The helpline will operate from Monday till Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Dr. Abdul Gaffar Billoo Professor emeritus at the Paediatrics and Child Health Department Agha Khan University Hospital (AKU) said that the parents faced a lot of difficulties to connect with the doctors in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

Therefore, Child Connect Health Helpline will provide ease to all the parents to talk to the child specialists for their children’s health.
