Earlier today, the Azad Kashmir government has imposed a lockdown in the region once again after witnessing an increase in the coronavirus cases.
Raja Farooq Haider Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir recently chaired a meeting in which he showed concerns regarding the increasing number of coronavirus cases.
According to the reports, Prime Minister AJK mentioned that the ration of the COVID-19 cases has increased to 8.3 percent. The government has now decided to impose a lockdown in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
PM Raja Farooq Haider said that strict measures are needed to be taken before the situation gets out of control.
In the meeting, masks were made mandatory outside the homes and inside the offices. The session decided that in case of any violations of the safety measures, fines will be imposed.
PM also said to decide the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the markets, educational institutions, and offices.
On the other hand, the Sindh Health Department has opposed the bill passed by Pakistan Medical Commission. The department said that a protest will be carried out if the bill is not canceled.
