Colorado-based Frontier Airlines is offering free flights to people who have the last name “Green” or “Greene.” The airline claims to be “America’s greenest flight”. It is giving away tickets up to $400 in value for flights that will leave on Tuesday and return before 20th August.
The free flights are for those who book their tickets off the company’s website. It is part of the airline’s program “Green Week.”
Frontier Airlines spokesman Zach Kramer said, “We’re very excited to share our green message with everyone. I was surprised how many people have the last name Green.”
The President and CEO Barry Biffle said that Green Week was created to display the airline’s commitment to sustainable flights.
Biffle said, “Our fleet’s fuel efficiency is unmatched by other U.S. airlines and allows Frontier to deliver not only the lowest fares but the most sustainable approach to flying.”
Those who want to get free flights, need to show that their legal last name is either “Green” or “Greene.”
