The airfares are to decrease up to Rs.20,000.
With the recent surges in the prices of almost all items, the country has been suffering the brunt of the new taxation policies and the ever-rising inflation.
Like many other things, air travel has also become super expensive in present times, but there is good news for travellers.
Fares for air tickets from Karachi to Lahore and Islamabad have been decreased significantly. The gap between the supply and demand owing to the closure of Shaheen Air and reduced local operations by AirBlue was the actual reason behind the increased ticket prices.
The airfares on the aforementioned routes were priced between Rs.50,000 to Rs.60,000 are now nearly Rs.35,000 to Rs.40,000 and it is expected that they would reduce further.
The addition of the two new Airbus A320 in the fleet of AirBlue for the local flights are being attributed to the decreased prices for the airfares. The fleet now consists of 10 aircraft.
