Air University Campus To Be Opened In KPK Nowshera

The development of Air University in Nowshera has been approved by KPK chief minister Pervez Khattak on Tuesday. The exact location of the University is in Pirpyai village at the Grand Trunk Road. Khattak ordered the officials to speed up the work on this project and start construction process as quickly as possible. This university would establish on 400 kanal of land.

The CM of KPK chaired a meeting in his house in Peshawar. In the meeting, the development of university was discussed, along with the establishment of Aircraft Maintenance College in Nowshera and PAF Cadet College in Peshawar.

The meeting was also attended by Shah Farman, Mohammad Amin and Mohammad Israr who are Minister for Public Health Engineering and Information, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister for Aviation and Technical Education Air Commodore and Principal Secretary to CM respectively. Along with them Secretaries of Irrigation, PHE, administration, DC Nowshera and other high officials from various departments were part of the meeting.

All these projects of University and Colleges will be managed by Pakistan Air Force. Pervez Khattak talked about creating these institutions and how they would not just benefit the education sector of KPK but would also enhance the economy of the province. More opportunities would open up in fields of research and innovation, thus employment would increase. The Chief Minister also praised PAF skills and abilities and was hopeful that it would be able to transfer the skills and knowledge to the younger generation of KPK.

Also, KPK is planning on establishing a technical university to provide awareness and training on all kinds of technologies to the future of Pakistan. The CM believes that in order to fight unemployment technical education is necessary. As the Air University would provide aviation and technical education to youth, not just employment rate would increase but the industrial sector would also get better.

The Minster gave hope to the people by saying that once the decision is made it would be implemented in the province and policies won’t be discontinued as seen by people in previous years. Officials were authorized by CM to use international standards in planning, constructing, designing and establishing of the educational institutions.
PAF also assured the provincial government for absolute assistance in establishing these institutions.
