AIOU Announces New Programmes for the Overseas Pakistanis

Allam Iqbal Open University has launched new programmes for the Pakistanis living abroad. The programmes have been introduced are especially for the overseas Pakistanis who are residing in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain for providing them with a chance to increase or improve their academic standards and knowledge.

This is for the first time ever that overseas Pakistani are being given a chance to get themselves enrolled in BEd and MBA courses, as per a press release.

The other programmes introduced are Secondary School Certificates, basic Arabic course, Bachelor Programmes (BA—General, BA—Mass Communication, BA—Library Sciences, B. Com), Higher Secondary School Certificate and many short courses.

The last date for admission in these newly introduced programmes is 5th of March. The Admission forms and the prospectus for these programmes is available online and could be downloaded from the university’s website.

Pakistanis residing in the above-mentioned countries can submit their admission forms along with the admission fees in foreign currency before the specified date.

As per the Directorate of Overseas Education, Dr Shahid Siddiqui—Vice Chancellor—has given instructions to provide the Pakistanis living abroad with maximum facilities, giving them an opportunity to make the most advantage from the educational options present in the country.

The Allam Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has taken many major steps for the upgradation of the online learning for overseas Pakistanis via the use of smart technology.

The press release concluded by mentioning that during the span of last three years, the university has brought improvement in terms of quality in its study scheme at all levels.
