Sardar Usman Buzdar—the Chief Minister of Punjab said that at least 600 people who were quarantined in the Dera Ghazi Khan Quarantine facilities were being sent home.
The CM Punjab said that nearly 600 people were being sent to their homes after they tested negative for the deadly coronavirus that took thousands of lives across the world.
“I am giving you all some good news. Six hundred people have tested negative for coronavirus at the Dera Ghazi Khan Quarantine facility and they will be sent back to their homes,” CM Buzdar said during a press conference in Lahore.
He further said that a “special risk allowance” has also been approved by the PTI-led provincial government of Punjab for doctors, paramedics, and nurses—all medical workers at the forefront of the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
“These workers will get an amount equivalent to their salaries,” said CM Buzdar.
