All the account holders who own an account at any Pakistani bank have been asked to get their biometrics verified before the 31st of this month. In case, they do not then their bank accounts would face suspension.
The State Bank of Pakistan has given these instructions to all the bank in the country, which in turn have been prompting the account holders by sending SMS to come and get their biometrics done.
The SBP wants all accounts to be biometrically verified as part of its operation against money laundering and terrorism funding. The state bank wants assurance that all the account holders are registered with NADRA.

All account holders need to get their accounts verified. The accounts that need verification include the foreign currency accounts, low-risk account and bulk opening propositions like the salary accounts.
As per SBP, it is applicable to all the customers no matter what nature of account or what currency account they have to get their biometrics done.
On the other hand, the Senate has passed a resolution to conduct CSS Examinations in Urdu as well.
The resolution has received unanimous supports from all. Some people believed that this move would prove a game changer for many of the CSS applicants.
