Earlier today, the Abu Dhabi Government decided to recommence all its economic, tourism, cultural, and recreational activities in 2 weeks.
On Wednesday, the Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee (ECDC) for the coronavirus pandemic declared that it is working with the relevant authorities to resume all activities in 2 weeks.
The reports said that the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office said that the decision was made after the success attained by implementing precautionary measures to control the spread of coronavirus.
It said that all activities within the emirate will be continued while maintaining the precautionary procedures.
It further added that all economic, tourism, cultural, and entertainment activities in the emirate will fully resume, while precautionary procedures already in place will be improved to reserve all health gains achieved.
Furthermore, the government has made it clear that the arranged health guidelines must be strictly followed and any kind of violations will result in heavy fines.
The ECDC confirmed its commitment to continuing its efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. This includes active tracing and testing, and welfare programs for social stability during the pandemic.
