Aamir Liaquat Hussain, the MNA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday said that he has taken the decision to resign from his seat. He said that he is helpless over the load-shedding crisis of Karachi. He further expressed that he has asked PM Khan for a meeting so that he could officially present his resignation in person.
He posted on Twitter that he is a helpless MNA of Karachi and is unable to offer electricity to the people of the city. He added that they cannot bear to witness the agony and suffering of the people of Karachi as well as the lies of the CEO of the KE.
Since he joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf six months prior to the polls in 2018, Aamir Liaquat has issued multiple statements against the senior leadership of PTI which includes the premier, he accused them of putting the representatives of Karachi on aside.
On the other hand, the rumors about the change in the retirement age and the about the suspension of pension had been denied.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that Pakistan has neither ended the pension nor it has altered the retirement age.
