According to a report published by The News, Maulana Fazlur Rehman—leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) had an important meeting with the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to the details, the meeting between the JUI-F chief and COAS was held to discuss the ‘Azadi March’ announced by Fazlur Rehman.

An anchor of a private TV channel had revealed the news of the meeting on Wednesday evening. The private TV channel said that the anchor was also included among the media persons who had meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Wednesday.
According to the statement of the anchor, the meeting between COAS and JUI-F chief took place a few days back when Maulana had already announced his Azadi March.
On the other hand, the co-host of the TV show claimed that the meeting is a common knowledge. He also said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) assured Maulana that he stands by the Constitution and democracy.
The co-host further claimed that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) also ruled out the possibility of the minus-Imran concept by saying that he is a constitutional Prime Minister of Pakistan. “Neither I nor you could minus him,” the army chief said.
According to the co-host, the army chief made it also clear that if Maulana Fazlur Rehman insisted on wage protest, then some more minus could take place.
