Omer Ismail, a Pakistani youngster has been named in Fortune’s Most Influential Under 40 list in 2019. Ismail, 39-year-old was selected for being extremely successful in the finance market. Currently, he serves in the leading investment banks in the world, Goldman Sachs. He basically looks after the entire US consumer business.
When he was an undergraduate student at Dartmouth College, he did not pursue finance, instead, he worked on editing the student newspaper of Ivy League institution.
However, he got a job at the most prestigious investment bank on Wall Street.
Ismail basically belongs to Karachi, Pakistan. At Harvard Business School he received his MBA degree. Then later he worked and made his way to being the managing director on Goldman Sachs’ private equity investment team.
As of now, Ismail looks after the personal banking arm Marcus by Goldman Sachs. It has over 4 million customers.
Ismail is also recognized among Business Insider’s 100 People Transforming Business, 40 Under 40 of Crain and Innovators to Watch of Bank Innovation. He lives in New York with his family i.e. wife and two kids.
