A New Online Taxi Service Introduced for Karachi

A new online taxi service has been introduced for the people of Karachi. The service has been launched for the ones looking for affordable transportation facilities. It is called Siayara.

Syed Aamir Hussain—the Siayara Director said that it is the first Pakistan-based ride-hailing service. He also added that the objective of the service is to provide affordable transport to the residents of the city.

Regarding the service operations, he briefed that initially, they have begun with 2,000 cars which are divided into 4 categories, which are—eco-mini, eco-, eco-plus and eco-business. The categories have been introduced with reasonable fares. He also informed that there is no peak factor on the rides nor any hidden charges.

The Director of the ride-hailing service said that it is a 24-hour service.

The app of the service Siayara could be downloaded from the PlayStore or simply a car could be called by dialling on 021-111-100-500.

While making comparisons of the fares offered by Siyara with those of the other ride-hailing services, Hussain said that a minimum of Rs.15 per kilometre is charged on using an eco-mini vehicle, which is Rs.3 to Rs.4 less than what other services charge for the same kind of vehicle.

The base charge is Rs.17 per kilometre for eco-, Rs.26 per kilometre for eco-business and Rs.18 per kilometre for eco-plus.

He added that the same difference is applicable to all the categories when compared to the other taxi services.

Hussain added that the company intends to introduce a motorcycle service after 3 months.

  1. I am still unable to Register with my Telenor Mobile No with Siayara. Also, have tried to book a ride on different times and days, but Car was not available.
