A man wore almost 15 shirts and jumpers to avoid paying extra charges for baggage at an airport in France. A hilarious video by a 17-year-old boy of his father wearing 15 shirts and jumpers, weighing 8 kilograms has gone viral.
As per the details, John Irvine, from Scotland, was flying back from France to Scotland, when he was not allowed to check-in by the authorities due to 8 kilogram of excess baggage.
The Scottish man came up with an idea to avoid extra charges to EasyJet airline and wore the clothes in around 30 degrees Celcius weather outside to reduce the weight of his luggage.
“The lassie at the counter asked us if we wanted to pay extra but my dad just looked up at her and said ‘Hen, watch this’ and zipped open the suitcase and quickly flung on about 15 jumpers to help cut down the weight,” Irvine’s son was quoted as saying in Metro.co.uk.
The boy, 17, posted the video of his father on Twitter saying that his dad was sweating. He further said, “My ribs were sore from laughing. The staff were in stitches but trying to get through the security was a struggle because they thought he was trying to smuggle something under all his clothes. Thankfully we got through eventually.”
