A man in the United States (US) has tried to use the warning issued by the health experts against coming in contact with the COVID-19 patient as an opportunity to avoid his arrest.
According to the details, the man was identified as Joshua Price, 28, apparently stuck a handwritten sign reading “COVID 19 infected since 4/8/20” to the front door of his house. All the efforts made by him to fool the police failed as he was arrested subsequently.
A press release issued by Putman County Sheriff’s Office said: “Placing a fake ‘COVID-19’ sign on your door will not stop us from kicking it in when you have felony warrants for your arrest.”
As per the details, the deputies and detectives donned protective gear to arrest him at his Bardin residence. Price was wanted on a felony charge of fleeing and eluding law enforcement and violation of probation warrants. On the other hand, the office of the sheriff found ‘no indication’ that Price had been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
It is worth mentioning here that that the United States (US) is at the top of the list of the global tally of coronavirus cases.
