A man files complaint against TikTok on PM’s Citizen Portal

A man filed a complaint against the social media app TikTok on Pakistan Citizen Portal established by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

The man, resident of Nowshera, fed up of the craze of TikTok and urged the government to take action against the app. The man demanded the government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to ban TikTok in the country as he termed it to be a ‘social ill’.

After the complaint has been filed, the Pakistan Citizen Portal took the action and quickly forwarded that complaint to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for further proceedings.

TikTok is a social media app that people use for creating and sharing videos. It was launched back in September 2016 and allowing its users to create musical, dance, comedy, lip-sync and other types of 15-second videos.

As per the recent stats, currently TikTok has more than 500 million users from 150 countries. The app is available on Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
