After Pakistan’s cricket team returns from England, a high-profile former fast bowler is going to replace Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq as Chief Selector, as per the reports of ARY News.
The PTI (Press Trust of India) says that the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) is planning on getting a new person for this job and a former fast bowler is under consideration for the replacement of Misbah.
The cricket is doing this to reduce the burden over him so that he can focus more on his job as a head coach as there are many ICC events lined up for the next three years.
As per the sources, the PCB has considered a former fast bowler for this job who has been famous for his outspoken comments and has been a great name in his playing days. The finals decision will be taken after the England series.
Moreover, the sources added that the cricket board properly scrutinized the selection process for the Tests Match in England and they think that Misbah-ul-Haq did not handle it well.
Misbah in the third Test match rather than sending the fifth bowler, he got pressurized from the social media and kept Fawad Alam in the team.
Pakistan head coach has already approved CEO Wasim Khan to ease his selection duties.
Wasim Khan was in England for the recent match and he closely observed Misbah’s handling. So, he suggested appointing someone else as a new chief selector.
