A doctor tested positive with COVID-19 at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital

Dr. Salma Kausar KMC’s Senior Director for Medical and Health Services told the media on Sunday that a doctor at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital aged 52-year old has been infected with the coronavirus.

The doctor tested positive with the COVID-19 is a Chief Medical Officer at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and he was working in the emergency ward of the hospital, Dr.Kausar added.

The chief medical officer Arif Rajput was working in the emergency ward along with five other doctors of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and 10 other staff members.

The Senior Director for Medical and Health made it confirmed that currently the hospital’s emergency ward has been closed for all the patients in order to disinfect the ward and the medical facilities.

In the meanwhile, coronavirus tests will be conducted on the other five doctors and 10 staffers, till then they all have been quarantined.

On the other hand, Facebook confirms that Whatsapp is enabling video calls with eight participants now. The function has been confirmed by Facebook and an update has also been announced.
