Jam Kamal-the CM of Balochistan made the announcement of setting up 9 PCR laboratories in the nine districts of the province amid the second wave of the novel virus.
As per the shared details, “The newly formed labs will be able to perform all the necessary tests related to coronavirus,” he said. “DHQs of 11 districts including DHQ Killa Abdullah, Sibi, Naseerabad, Kalat, Nushki, Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital Hub, and Panjgur has been given the status of teaching hospitals whereas Rs50 million has been allocated for this purpose.”
The provincial chief executive also said hiring is being carried out in the health department to meet the shortage of manpower which will reduce the unemployment rate also.
He commended the performance and dedication of the medical and paramedical staff of Fatima Jinnah General and Chest Hospital working to serve humanity.
“The government is taking effective measures to promote health, education and tourism in the largest province of the country,” CM Kamal added.
The Balochistan CM highlighted how the provincial government is creating awareness about the newly set up PCR laboratories in the province.
“Testing of coronavirus in the province will be expanded to every corner of the province and people will be urged to get themselves tested,” he said. “In this regard, procurement committees have also been formed at the divisional level.”
The CM maintained that recruitment in the health sector will be useful in eliminating unemployment in the province apart from providing facilities to the people.
