It has been reported that as many as eight employees of the Bolan Medical College, Quetta have been suspended by the authorities. As per the details, the health professionals were suspended for refusing to perform their assigned coronavirus duties.
According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of the provincial government to Balochistan Liaquat Shahwani, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached 1,218 and the number of deaths across the province stands at 21.
It is pertinent to mention here that the provincial government of Balochistan has imposed a province-wide lockdown from 42 days now. As many as 316 shops have been sealed by the police for violating Section 144.
On the other hand, the authorities have detained 91 people and issued challans against 102 vehicles for violating the lockdown orders across the province.
According to the details, approximately Rs2.34 billion has been distributed among the people of the province as part of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme and bread was distributed to 408,456 people in the provincial capital Quetta.
