5 Pakistani Missing after New Zealand Mosques Shooting

The shooting in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand has injured four Pakistani nationals and five Pakistanis are missing.

According to the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Faisal the injured Pakistani national has been admitted to the hospital.

Furthermore, he added that the Pakistani citizens that are missing, their names are yet not known.

Adding, “It is hoped that missing (Pakistani) individuals will soon be located.”

In the New Zealand city of Christchurch at least 49 people were killed and 20 injured as one gunmen opened fire on the people in two different mosques.

People were attending Friday prayers when this incident took place.

A Palestinian man who was in one of the mosques during the Friday prayers said, “I heard three quick shots then after 10 seconds it started again. It must have been an automatic weapon as no one could pull a trigger that quick.”

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that the mosque shooting seems like a terrorist attack. Further stating, “This is, and will be, one of New Zealand’s darkest days.”

It is pertinent to mention here that the Bangladesh cricketers visited the mosque where the shooting took place but they escaped the attack.
