35 Shops and 5 Restaurants Sealed for Violating Covid SOPs: Lahore Administration

According to the Lahore Administration, 35 shops and 5 restaurants have been sealed for violating covid-19 SOPs.


The Lahore administration sealed 35 shops and 5 restaurants for not following the covid-related SOPs shared by the government of Pakistan. The government has been requesting to take special care while going out. While the businesses were also told to follow the SOPs or else they would have face strict consequences.

Briefing the actions, the report says that the Raiwind assistant commissioner (AC) sealed 20 shops, Model Town AC sealed 11 shops, while Cantonment AC sealed 4 shops and 5 restaurants over SOPs’ violation.

It was also informed that Punjab has imposed 491 smart lockdowns, including Lahore, across the province.

In his recent tweet, Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muddassir Riaz Malik said that a marriage hall is also sealed for violating the SOPs:

After the rise of the second wave of covid-19, Punjab has become the second-highest center of covid’s cases after Sindh in the country with 103,587 cases and 2,347 deaths.
