3 Restaurants Sealed in Faisalabad over COVID-19 SOPs Violation

Earlier today, three restaurants were sealed in Faisalabad as they were violating the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) prescribed by the government.  

The reports say that the police raided the restaurants which have been sealed. As per the police, management had allowed people to enter the place without facemasks, and also social distancing was not being practiced.

COVID-19 cases are increasing in Faisalabad. A doctor, 6 nurses, and 9 students at the Punjab Medical College and Allied Hospital have contracted the coronavirus, said the health department.

There are chances that a smart lockdown will be imposed in Faisalabad if the cases continue to increase.

Earlier on November 7th, the NCOC (National Command and Operation Center) has imposed a ban on gatherings at wedding halls in 20 big cities which included; Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Multan, Karachi, and Faisalabad.

The decision came out to contain the spread of the virus. According to NCOC, the residents who will be seen without masks will be charged with a fine. Moreover, only 50% of workers will be allowed to work in offices and the other 50% will work from home.

So far, 6,943 people have died due to COVID-19 in Pakistan. PM Khan’s SAPM on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan already announced on October 28th that the second wave of the coronavirus has started in Pakistan.

He further stated that the health authorities were reporting 700-750 cases daily. The mortality rate has also been increased.
