The education department of Punjab on Wednesday has issued show-cause notices to 27 private schools in Faisalabad for violating the winter vacation orders. These schools have not complied with the decision of the government to shut down all schools until the 12th of January, as per the reports of local media.
As per sources in the education department, initially, all the schools were only issued show-cause notices and if they would not abide with the decision of the authorities then heavy fines would be imposed on them.
On the 6th of January, the private schools association has made the announcement to go against the decision of the government of Punjab for shutting down all the schools in the province until the 12th of January due to extended winter break.
As per sources, the private schools have announced to reopen the schools from Tuesday breaking the directives of the provincial government of prolonging the winter break.
While announcing the decision to extend the holidays on the micro-blogging website on Monday, the Provincial Minister of Education Murad Raas said that owing to the extreme weather conditions, winter break has been extended until the 12th of January 2020.
As per the notice, all the public and private schools would be reopening on Monday that is on the 13th of January 2020.
