It has been reported that as many as 27 employees of the government, including BPS-17 and BPS-20 officers, were found taking charity funds from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Ghotki district.
According to the details, the government employees who were taking funds from the charity programme are associated with the education, health, agriculture, population welfare departments and had been receiving funds in the names of their wives.
The government employees including a headmaster of a government school and other officers of the higher ranks.
The details further said that the former medical superintendent of the Tehsil Hospital, Ubauro is also among the beneficiaries taking benefits from the charity programme. On the other hand, a district officer of the population welfare department had also been drawing stipends.
All these government employees had received an amount of Rs3 million under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and have served notices by a federal institution for recovery.
