23 Pakistani Universities have made to the top 500 universities in Asia as per the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings for 2019. In the ranking, 500 universities in Asia are ranked among which 23 are from Pakistan.
The number of Pakistani universities among the top 500 universities in Asia has increased to 23 from 16. New universities now part of the list are International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIU), University of Sindh, Lahore College for Women University, University of Central Punjab, and University of Management and Technology.
In the QS Asian University Rankings 2019, NUST ranks at 87th position while in the world ranking it stands at 417th position.
Another Pakistani university among the top 100 Asian universities is Lahore University of Management (LUMS). LUMS stands at 95th position and has a world between ranking between 701-750.
Quaid-i-Azam University ranking stands at 109th position in the top Asian universities and it has a world ranking in range of 551-560.
Other than these three universities COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), University of Punjab, Agha Khan University, University of Karachi, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Bahria University Islamabad, GC University Lahore, Institute of Space Technology, International Islamic University, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, University of Lahore, University of Sargodha, University of Sindh, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, Lahore College for Women University of Central Punjab, and University of Management and Technology are among the top 23 universities from Pakistan.
