A new 250cc bike has been launched in Pakistan by Atlas Honda. The bike namely 2018 Honda CB 250F is the latest addition to Atlas Honda market. After Honda introduced the 150cc CB 150F in 2017, this year the new Honda CB 250F is launched by the company.
The engine of the bike is 250cc, as the name suggests. Also, the bike has a single cylinder motor much like the Benelli TNT25. The engine is coupled to a six-speed linear shift transmission. The oil and air-cooled engine have dual overhead camshafts.
The weight of the bike is approximately 135 kg while the tanks of the bike can hold up to 16.5 liters of fuel.
Coming to the brakes of the bike, there are single disc brakes in the front and the back. The front tire is 110/70-R 17 M/C (54H) while the rear or back tire is 140/70-R 17 M/C (66H). Furthermore, the bikes have suspensions in the front and the back that are fork suspension and monoshock swing arm suspension respectively.
The price of 2018 Honda CB 250F is PKR 640,000, which is slightly expensive. With reference to the price range, the direct competitor of the bike becomes Benelli 302R while engine wise the competitor is Benelli TNT25.
The most notable point here is that there are many bikes with a 250cc engine in the market, that have price range below 6 lacs which include Suzuki’s Inazuma and many other Chinese bikes.
The competition in bike sector of Pakistan is rising. There is an option of cheap Chinese bikes for the people, along with slightly expensive bikes by Honda and Suzuki. Similarly, in the car sector, we see that new companies are ready to invest and provide diversity and more options to the people. This healthy competition should be appreciated and promoted.
