17 rural development schemes have been approved by the Islamabad Development Working Party (ISWP) for the federal capital.
The meeting was chaired by the Chief Commissioner (Islamabad) Aamer Ali Ahmed. Also, it was attended by Raja Khurram Nawaz, MNA and concerned officials. The finance allocated to the development schemes is Rs.1.406 billion.
These schemes are planned to completed during the current fiscal year. The concerned departments have been directed by the chief commissioner to ensure that work quality is maintained and the approved projects are completed in a timely manner.
In the current situation of coronavirus outbreak the federal and provincial government are doing their part by allocating funds and starting programmes for the underprivileged.
Chief Minister Punjab Insaf Imdad Programme has started to provide and distribute financial aid to the poor. A sum of around Rs1.50 bn is given to 170,000 people.
Similarly, the government of Sindh launching a mobile service for ration distribution in the province. Through the service, ration would be distributed among the daily wagers and needy people who are affected by the coronavirus epidemic.
