17-day Winter Vacations In Punjab Goes Funny On Social Media

The Education Department on Friday 13th December released a notification about the official start of a winter holiday in all Punjab Government schools across the province. The notification was a little doubtful for many students as well as teaching staff as the government tends to be quite strict and hasn’t seen to be so generous for the last few years.

According to the details mentioned in the notification, the winter holidays in Punjab government schools start from December 20 and end on December 5 the schools are advised to reopen on the 6th of December.

This gives a monstrous 17-day holiday to children, teachers and clerical staff directly or indirectly involved in education. However, the government also announced holidays in the Capital Islamabad from December 23 to December 31 according to various news sources. Islamabad would enjoy the 9-day winter holiday this season.

The News was little too much for all, people created WhatsApp Sticker for fun containing the DP and funny message from Minister of Education Punjab “Murad Raas”. The message was telling people that the notification released by the ministry is original, which got a reply from another person saying “Mubarak Ho Mubarak Ho” as a famous dialogue by Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri heard back during a protest against PPP government.
