16 suspected patients of coronavirus have run-off from the quarantine centre in New Saeedabad on Tuesday, as per the confirmation of the Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Haider.
According to the shared details, sixteen people hailing from Peshawar were kept in the quarantine facility in a mosque and a house as a preventive step to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
On receiving the information, the police apprehended 3 men over the accusation of providing assistance to the suspected ones from the quarantine facility, while the new Saeedabad SHO has been suspended over his negligent conduct that led to this incident, as informed by the deputy inspector general of the police (DIG).
The search operations are being done in order to bring back the suspected people to quarantine.
Earlier, police caught a coronavirus patient and kept him in custody who ran off from the Civil Hospital in the isolation ward of Hyderabad in order to reach home in Tando Muhammad Khan.
Similarly on the 26th of March, a confirmed female patient affected with coronavirus also ran off from the Jinnah hospital in Lahore.
