Abdul Aleem Khan—the Senior Minister Punjab has instructed the related authorities, to establish 14 inter-district roads in the present financial year, as per the reports of local media.
While chairing a high-level meeting, the senior minister instructed the practical measures for the infrastructure development would be taken and far-fetched areas would be given preference in this regard.
The meeting was led by Mr Aleem Khan and the inter-district roads were finalized for Sargodha, Vehari, Jhang, Chiniot, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Chakwal, Khanewal, Khushab and Muzaffargarh, while in Depalpur, Kabirwala, Sumandari and Burewala Tehsils new roads would be built.
Abdul Aleem Khan asked to make sure that international standard of construction in which 24ft concrete belt be left on both sides of these two-way roads in the 14 districts of Punjab be followed.

The minister said that maximum trees should be planted along with the green belts of these roads so that a clean and green program could also be abided.
The minister instructed the secretary communication and works for taking needed immediate measures in this matter and start tendering work of these inter-district roads so that the areas of traffic accidents could be given priority for the new roads.
He informed that in the past these districts were ignored owing to anonymous reason and masses are facing huge trouble on a daily basis so keeping in view the complaints and feedback from the elected representatives these roads would be given topmost preference in the yearly development program 2018-19.
He said that the present government would be making sure to provide equal development opportunities for the masses of the province of Punjab and a maximum number of funds would be assigned in this regard.
