On Friday, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has stated that at least 13 educational institutions across the country have been closed in the span of the last 24 hours owing to the non-compliance with the SOPs issued by the government.
13 educational institutes were closed in KP and 3 were closed in Sindh.
Yesterday, there were reports that at least 22 educational institutes were closed across the nation due to non-compliance with the SOPs. As many as 16 educational institutes were closed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1 in the capital city, and 5 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The educational institutes across the nation were reopened on the 15th of September. They were closed in March due to the surging cases of coronavirus in the country.
IBA in Karachi had also been closed after 2 days after a coronavirus case came out on the 16th of September.
The sources indicated that the first case came out in the hostel of the Karachi University campus of IBA.
Previously it was reported that after the schools resumed educational activities in the province, at least 8 teachers of the government-run schools in KP tested positive for the novel virus.
