Recently, a camouflaged vehicle is seen on the roads of Pakistan. The vehicle masking its identity under the black and white striped wrap is the upcoming 12th Generation Toyota Corolla. Yes, the 12th generation Toyota Corolla was spotted for the first time in Pakistan.
The 12th generation Corolla is based on the new global platform called TNGA, “Toyota New Global Architecture”. This modular platform is presently used by many current-generation Toyota models including Prius, C-HR.
The new Corolla 2020 is a bit longer +10mm and wider +5mm than the previous generation. The wheelbase is the same as that of the 11th generation. The height of the new Corolla varies from 1435mm to 1455mm depending upon the variant. Normally, Pakistan follows Thai Corolla that has 1435mm height.
There will be standard projector headlights for Corolla in Pakistan. It is expected that the top variant will have LED as seen in the 11th generation, Toyota Grande.
There will be a new glass panel at A-pillar where the side view mirrors are mounted. On the rear door, there will be new trapezoidal glass panels. These new window panels at the front and back door area will enhance visibility and openness within the car.
The interior of the new Corolla is identical regardless of the region. New Corolla is equipped with a 7″ digital cluster on the higher variant of the Corolla sedan.
The expected release date of the car is in September/ October of 2020. The expected price of the car is over PKR 4 million.
