Pillion Riding Karachi
Under the current situation of Karachi, Sindh Government imposed a 1-month ban on pillion riding. Senior citizens, women, children under 12, and media persons are exempted from this ban.
The pillion riding law is imposed due to the recent incidents of targeting citizens via hand grenade explosions, targeted killings of law enforcement personnel, and religious scholars.
On Saturday, the religious scholar Maulana Adil Khan was sitting in a vehicle parked outside Shama shopping center, Karachi when suspects on motorcycles approached and opened fire on him.
It’s reported that one person, Umair, who was accompanying Maulana Adil survived the incident. The incident resulted in the death of Maulana Adil while his driver succumbs to injuries later at the hospital.
