Horizon by Waylens is solid competition for GoPro

Horizon by Waylens

A startup called Waylens introduced a new dashboard cam called Horizon. Horizon by Waylens is a combination of action-dashboard cam for automobile enthusiasts. People usually relied on GoPro or Sony Action Cam to film tracks or usual journeys but now, Horizon seems like a solid game-changer in the market. The camera is available on sale for $499.

A need for speed through Horizon by Waylens

It has awesome specs for a cam being this small in size. When looking at the specs of the camera one cannot deny the 157 degree wide angle and f/2.4 aperture. The camera also has 1/1.8” image sensor. The camera sensor is bigger than the GoPro Hero 5 Black which is ½.3 inch. The video lens paired with Ambarella processor helps in producing high quality videos. Even when it is night time the video quality is pretty terrific. On the back of the camera is a 286 ppi OLED touch screen which displays a live view. It can also display many real-time statistics like speed, RPM, pitch and roll, G-force and even boost levels.

The Horizon by Waylens is not equipped by 4K but maxis out at 1080p which means 60 frames per second. The Horizon camera is definitely more focused on shooting and data collection. The data collected through filming is put together in the form of a shareable video. The video can be shared on social networking sites as well.

It has a desktop software which can be used to edit and share clips as well.
